NVIDIA Earnings: The AI Revolution Is Still Accelerating
NVIDIA has once again delivered an earnings report that shows why it remains one of the most important companies in the global AI economy. The latest Q2 FY2027 results were released on August 26, and the numbers were significantly stronger than many market expectations.
📊 Q2 Revenue: $96.2B
📈 YoY Revenue Growth: +106%
🏢 Data Center Revenue: $89.0B
🚀 Data Center Growth: +117% YoY
💰 GAAP EPS: $2.46
💵 Non-GAAP EPS: $2.22
🔥 Gross Margin: 75%
NVIDIA's revenue increased 18% quarter-over-quarter and more than doubled compared with the same quarter last year. Net income reached approximately $59.7 billion, representing a 126% year-over-year increase. These numbers demonstrate that AI infrastructure spending remains extremely powerful.
🤖 Data Center Is Still the Main Engine
The biggest story is clearly NVIDIA's Data Center business.
Data Center revenue reached $89 billion, up 117% year-over-year and 18% from the previous quarter. This shows that hyperscalers, AI laboratories and enterprises continue spending heavily on GPUs, networking and complete AI infrastructure.
The market is no longer looking at AI as only an experimental technology. AI infrastructure is becoming a core part of the global technology economy.
🚀 Vera Rubin Could Be the Next Catalyst
Another major point for investors is NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin platform.
NVIDIA says Vera Rubin is already moving into full production, with systems being deployed through major partners and cloud infrastructure providers. The transition toward newer architectures could create another major growth cycle if demand remains strong.
For NVIDIA, the opportunity is bigger than selling individual GPUs. The company is increasingly building a complete AI computing ecosystem covering chips, networking, software, systems and platforms.
💰 Q3 Guidance Is Even More Important
NVIDIA expects Q3 FY2027 revenue of approximately $108 billion, plus or minus 2%.
That means the company is guiding toward another substantial sequential increase after already producing $96.2 billion in Q2 revenue.
One important detail: NVIDIA's guidance does not assume Data Center compute revenue from China. This means the actual upside could potentially be greater if China-related business conditions improve.
📈 My NVIDIA Price Outlook
The earnings report itself is extremely bullish, but traders should remember that strong earnings do not automatically mean the stock moves straight upward.
The market can sell a stock even after excellent results if expectations were already extremely high.
My scenario-based outlook:
Bullish Scenario 🟢:
If NVIDIA maintains strong AI demand, Vera Rubin ramps successfully and forward guidance continues improving, NVDA could target $250–$275 and potentially challenge the $300 psychological level over time.
Base Scenario 🟡:
If growth remains strong but valuation and margin concerns create consolidation, NVDA could trade around $220–$250 while investors wait for additional evidence of sustained AI spending.
Bearish Scenario 🔴:
If AI infrastructure spending slows, memory costs rise sharply, China restrictions worsen or margins compress faster than expected, NVDA could revisit $200–$220 before finding stronger support.
These are scenario estimates, not guaranteed targets or financial advice.
⚠️ Risks Investors Should Watch
Despite the huge numbers, NVIDIA is not risk-free.
First, memory and component costs are rising and could put pressure on gross margins. NVIDIA currently reports a 75% gross margin, but management expects margin pressure ahead.
Second, competition is increasing. Major cloud companies are developing their own AI accelerators, while companies and AI laboratories are exploring custom silicon.
Third, China remains an important uncertainty because changing export restrictions can influence NVIDIA's ability to serve one of the world's largest technology markets.
Finally, investors are increasingly asking whether AI companies can generate enough revenue from their massive infrastructure investments to justify the enormous spending cycle.
🌎 The Bigger AI Picture
The most important takeaway from NVIDIA's earnings is not simply the $96.2 billion revenue number.
It is the evidence that AI infrastructure demand continues to expand at extraordinary speed.
NVIDIA is benefiting from an ecosystem that includes cloud providers, AI labs, enterprises, robotics companies and autonomous systems. The company's strategy is increasingly becoming a full-stack AI platform rather than simply a semiconductor business.
Reuters reports that NVIDIA is projecting approximately 70% revenue growth for fiscal 2028, reinforcing the idea that management sees the AI infrastructure cycle continuing for years rather than quarters.
🔥 Final Take
#NVIDIAEarnings is much bigger than one quarterly report.
The latest numbers show:
✅ $96.2B quarterly revenue
✅ 106% YoY revenue growth
✅ $89B Data Center revenue
✅ 117% Data Center growth
✅ $2.22 non-GAAP EPS
✅ 75% gross margin
✅ $108B Q3 revenue guidance
✅ Vera Rubin entering full production
✅ Strong long-term AI infrastructure demand
My overall view is bullish but cautious.
NVIDIA's fundamentals remain exceptionally strong, and the company's AI leadership is still one of the biggest structural stories in global markets. However, after such extraordinary growth, expectations are also extremely high. For NVDA to continue moving higher, investors will want to see not only strong earnings but also stronger forward guidance, sustained AI spending, successful Rubin deployment and controlled margins.
For GateSquare traders, the key lesson is simple:
Don't trade only the headline. Watch revenue growth, Data Center demand, guidance, margins, China exposure and the next-generation AI roadmap.
If these factors continue improving, NVIDIA could remain one of the strongest beneficiaries of the global AI infrastructure revolution. 🚀
What do you think? Can NVDA reach $250, $275 or even $300 next?
