Gate has launched a special CandyDrop aimed at older accounts. Only users who registered before 16:00 UTC on 24 August 2026 (or before 00:00 UTC+8 on 25 August) can join. The total prize pool is 1 BTC and more than 24,000 participants have already registered. The event runs until 8 September and the airdrop is scheduled for 25 September.
The task itself is simple. Complete any futures trade with a cumulative volume of at least 1 USDT (open plus close counts) and you receive one candy. Each candy currently represents an estimated 0.000043 BTC, roughly 3.44 USDT at present prices. There is an individual cap of 0.001 BTC. In other words, a single small futures round-trip is enough to enter the pool.
I have already completed the login step and the minimum volume task. The low barrier makes sense for a comeback campaign — it removes the usual friction of large trading requirements and simply asks existing users to show a bit of activity while the market is active. With over 24,000 people already in, the final per-candy value will depend on how many more join and how the 1 BTC is ultimately distributed, but the entry cost remains almost nothing.
These types of events work best when the required action is something you might do anyway. A 1 USDT futures trade is not a meaningful position; it is simply the ticket. Once that ticket is secured, the rest is waiting for the distribution date.
