🔴 ETHUSDT SHORT SCALP. Watching the 2465–2468 Rejection Zone
ETH is showing an interesting short-term scalp setup but I want to make one thing clear: this is a scalp, not a sign that ETH has entered a major bearish trend.
On my chart ETH pushed up from the 2430–2437 demand area. Recovered strongly but the move is now facing a short-term resistance/supply zone around 2465–2468.
This is where the setup becomes interesting.
Price has already shown hesitation around this area while the chart also shows FVG/liquidity zones and previous swing levels. Above the entry sits the 2472–2475 area, which's important because a clean break through that zone would weaken the short thesis.
📉 SHORT ENTRY: $2,465–$2,468
🛑 STOP LOSS: $2,474.80
🎯 Targets:
• TP1: $2,458
• TP2: $2,452
• TP3: $2,445
• TP4: $2,437
Using the midpoint around $2,466.5 the risk to the SL is $8.3 while the targets offer approximately 1R, 1.75R 2.6R and 3.55R respectively.
Why this setup?
The idea is simple: sell the rejection, not the middle of the move.
If ETH continues failing around 2465–2468 and starts printing highs/lower closes the first liquidity/support pocket is around 2458–2452. If that area breaks the move can potentially extend toward 2445 and eventually 2437 which's the stronger support area visible on the chart.
The 2474.8 SL is critical. A decisive move above it would mean the expected rejection has failed and I would not continue holding the short just because the targetsre still below.
⚠️ Trade with a defined SL and proper position sizing. A scalp can invalidate quickly especially around ETH volatility.
For me the confirmation is a rejection from 2465–2468 followed by momentum. No confirmation equals no forced trade.
Would you take this short, from the resistance zone. Wait for ETH to break 2460 first before entering? 👇
