The market is starting to calm down,

and tonight’s PCE is expected to have little impact!
Because Wall Street has already begun preparing for the midterm elections, attention is starting to shift toward this week’s Jackson Hole central bank symposium and the uncertainties surrounding the midterm elections.
Everyone is guessing what signal Warsh will send at the central bank symposium, but Warsh has basically sent no signals at all since taking office!😅#PCE

The midterm elections and central bank annual meeting provide a double boost, while tonight’s PCE has instead become an afterthought. Market calm is a good thing—don’t get overly excited.

Wosh indeed doesn’t like making bold statements, but the market will fill in the blanks, so there will probably still be volatility tonight.

Stay calm, PCE really isn’t a big deal.

Do you think Wosh really has no signal, or is it preparing something big?

Actually, compared with PCE, it’s more important to keep an eye on the midterm elections. The Jackson Hole symposium has always been a venue for floating trial balloons—if Warsh remains silent this time, that would be interesting.

Wall Street is preparing for the election far more enthusiastically than for the data; PCE is just there to set the mood.
