#GateStockInsightsChallenge ➕$SNDK AI Storage Momentum Meets a New Price Test
SanDisk is increasingly becoming more than a traditional NAND-memory story. With SNDK now trading around $1,493, the stock remains in a highly volatile phase after its powerful 2026 re-rating. The current price makes the fundamental growth story even more important because expectations around AI infrastructure and data-center storage are already extremely high.
The Earnings Numbers Remain Strong
SanDisk reported Q4 FY2026 revenue of $8.97 billion, up 51% sequentially, while FY2026 revenue reached $20.25 billion, representing 175% YoY growth. Q4 non-GAAP EPS was $39.25, while non-GAAP gross margin reached 84.6%.
The most important structural number is Data Center growth: SanDisk's FY2026 Data Center business increased 437% YoY. That is a major reason the market increasingly views SNDK as an AI-storage beneficiary rather than simply another NAND-memory company.
AI + Data Center Is Driving the Repricing
AI infrastructure requires enormous amounts of high-performance storage, and SanDisk is benefiting from stronger demand for data-center and enterprise storage solutions. The latest results showed that growth was supported by both higher volumes and significantly stronger pricing.
In Q4, approximately one-third of sequential revenue growth came from higher volumes, while two-thirds came from higher pricing. That tells us NAND pricing is currently just as important as demand growth.
The Next Guidance Matters
SanDisk expects Q1 FY2027 revenue of $10.30B–$10.80B and non-GAAP EPS of $44–$46. Gross-margin expectations are also important because memory pricing can have a major impact on profitability.
The market therefore needs to see continued strength in NAND pricing, enterprise SSD demand and Data Center growth to justify the elevated valuation.
Bull vs Bear Setup
The bull case is clear: AI data-center expansion continues, enterprise SSD demand accelerates, NAND supply remains tight and pricing stays strong. Under that scenario, SanDisk's earnings power could continue expanding.
The risk case is valuation and volatility. At around $1,493, investors are already pricing in substantial future growth. A slowdown in NAND pricing, weaker-than-expected storage demand or margin compression could trigger sharp profit-taking.
What Matters Most at $1,493
SNDK's story is no longer simply “memory demand is rising.”
The real question is whether AI-driven storage demand, Data Center growth and higher NAND pricing can continue growing fast enough to support today's much higher stock valuation.
SanDisk's fundamentals are exceptionally strong, but at this price the market will demand continued execution.
Bottom Line
$20.25B FY2026 revenue, 175% YoY growth, 437% Data Center growth and 84.6% Q4 non-GAAP gross margin give SNDK a powerful fundamental foundation.
At ~$1,493, however, the next phase depends on execution. AI storage demand and NAND pricing are the catalysts; valuation and margin sustainability are the risks. @Gate_Square
