Bologna vs Lazio — A Difficult Opening-Day Call
This is the match where I’m expecting the most uncertainty. Both Bologna and Lazio enter the new Serie A campaign with plenty to prove, so I don’t think this will be an easy game to predict.
My prediction: Bologna 1-1 Lazio.
Bologna have the advantage of playing at home, which could be important in an opening fixture. At the same time, Lazio have enough quality to make the game uncomfortable for the hosts, and I expect them to look for opportunities on the counter rather than taking unnecessary risks.
With both sides still finding their rhythm, I think the midfield battle could decide the tempo. If neither team manages to establish control early, the game could become a cautious and tactical contest.
I’m going with a 1-1 draw because I see both teams having chances, but neither side doing quite enough to completely take control.
My call: Bologna 1-1 Lazio.
