NVDA is trading around 214.76 on the daily chart just before its major earnings report this week. The stock has pulled back from the recent high near 236 and is now consolidating in the middle of its recent range.
Looking at the structure step by step:
Price is currently sitting just above the middle Bollinger Band at 213.27 and slightly above the 50 EMA at 210.53. The 200 EMA is much lower at 194.32, showing the longer-term uptrend is still intact. RSI is neutral at 50.98 and MACD is trying to flatten after a period of weakness. Volume has been moderate during the pullback.
Bullish scenario and why it can work:
If NVDA holds the 210 to 214 zone and earnings come in strong with solid guidance on AI demand, the stock can quickly reclaim 220 to 225. A clean break above 228 to 230 would open the path back toward the previous high at 236. The main reason for the bullish case is the continued strength in AI infrastructure spending. Data center demand for GPUs remains high, and any positive commentary on future order books or new product cycles can drive buyers back in. In this case the first target would be 228 and the second target 236.
Bearish scenario and why it can happen:
If earnings disappoint or guidance is softer than expected, price can break below the 210 support. A move under 210 would likely test the lower Bollinger Band area near 191 to 195 where the 200 EMA also sits. The reason this scenario is possible is that NVDA has already run hard over the past year and valuations remain elevated. Any sign of slowing growth or margin pressure can trigger profit-taking, especially after the recent rejection from 236. In this case the first downside target is 205 and the second is 195.
My current view:
I am treating 210 as the key short-term level. As long as price stays above 210 the structure remains constructive going into earnings. I prefer waiting for the actual results and the initial reaction rather than forcing a position right now. The AI story is still strong, but the market will decide the next direction based on the numbers and guidance this week.
This is not financial advice. Always manage risk carefully around earnings events.
