“75K! Buy now!”—Wait, turn off the FOMO first: my BTC trading plan is just eight words
Follow breakouts, buy pullbacks, take profits in batches.
That is the core strategy I use after BTC rapidly surged from $69k to $75k.
This market move is indeed strong. After BTC broke above $75k, the market briefly continued advancing toward around $78k, with a weekly gain of nearly 20%; meanwhile, ETH and other major cryptocurrencies also rose in tandem, showing that this was not a solo performance by BTC.
But the stronger the market, the less I like going all in.
Because prices are rising too quickly, short-term profit-taking, momentum-chasing, and short-covering funds are all flooding in at once, making it easy for the market to rise quickly and get shaken out just as quickly. The large-scale short liquidations earlier were also one of the key factors behind this acceleration.
So if I were making a plan now, I would consider three scenarios.
First: already holding BTC.
Continue holding the core position rather than selling everything just because BTC reached 75K. But if there are already significant unrealized gains, I would first realize 20%–30% and put the profits in my pocket.
Second: no position.
Do not chase the first big bullish candle.
Wait for BTC to pull back into the $73k–$75k range. If support holds, then consider building a position in batches.
Third: BTC breaks directly above $80k.
If it breaks out on high volume and can remain stable afterward, I would follow the trend with a small position, then add more after a pullback confirmation.
But if BTC falls back below $72k and trading volume expands significantly, I would reduce my long exposure.
Why?
Because the most important thing in trading is not being 100% right in your predictions, but losing little when wrong and making money when right.
As for whether “75K is a new starting point,” I am not rushing to draw a conclusion for now.
Because a price breakout is only the first step.
Holding above it is the second step; not breaking down on a pullback is the third step.
If all three steps are completed, then $75k truly has a chance to shift from being a “breakout price” to becoming a “new market cost basis.”
My choice is therefore clear:
Do not fear high prices, but do not be stubborn; do not chase emotions, but do not easily miss out.
If it keeps rising, I will follow with a small position;
if it pulls back, I will wait for an opportunity to buy;
if I am already in profit, I will take some money off the table first.
After all, the market’s biggest joke is:
The bull market arrives and you do not buy; the bull market rises and you chase; as soon as you chase, it pulls back.
So this time, I am going to let BTC do the running.
I will slowly count the money. #BTC突破$75000
