#BTCETHReboundTradeIdeas
BTC up roughly 7%, ETH up 18%. The easy part of the move is already on the board.
Both charts on the 4-hour now show the same problem: strong impulsive advances followed by the first signs of hesitation. BTC is trading near 77,476 after tagging higher, with the short moving average at 76,563 and RSI still elevated at 83.74. ETH sits around 2,434 after a similar vertical leg, short average at 2,409 and RSI at 76.72. In both cases the upper Bollinger Bands have been pushed well higher and volume expanded on the way up. The market has already rewarded the early buyers. The question now is what the next practical decision looks like.
Three broad approaches are on the table.
Chase the continuation: only makes sense if you believe the current pullback is minor and the higher-timeframe structure remains firmly intact. That would require holding above the rising short averages (roughly 76,500 on BTC and 2,400 on ETH) and seeing volume return on any renewed push higher. The risk is obvious — you are buying into already extended RSI readings.
Wait for a cleaner pullback: this is the more patient route. A controlled retest of the breakout zones (mid-75k area on BTC, 2,300–2,350 on ETH) would offer better risk-reward if demand still appears. Many traders prefer this because it lets the market prove the move was not just a short-covering spike.
Fade the extension: only for those who see the daily and 4-hour RSI levels as unsustainable. That approach needs clear invalidation levels and tight risk, because fading a strong trend without confirmation can be expensive.
My own preference right now leans toward waiting for the first meaningful pullback rather than chasing. The advances were real and the participation was strong, but both RSI readings are high enough that a period of digestion is the higher-probability near-term outcome. I want to see how price behaves when it actually tests the levels that were resistance only a few days ago.
If you already have a plan — entry zone, invalidation, and target — share it. Quality takes are being highlighted and three creators will receive Gate merch. The more specific the levels and reasoning, the more useful the discussion becomes for everyone.
