My preference is Sony. I find the long-term growth potential of its gaming, music, and film/entertainment ecosystem strong; this makes the company less dependent on the Japanese domestic market. Given the recent volatility in the Japanese market, I prefer a staggered entry strategy rather than a one-time purchase.

Also, currently, a staggered entry seems more logical to me than an aggressive "immediate purchase" of Japanese stocks. The Nikkei fell 3.2% on August 19th, reaching a two-week low, but recovered by approximately 890 points on August 20th; meaning short-term volatility is quite high.

My ranking:

1. Sony — long-term growth + gaming/entertainment/technology diversification
2. Toyota — more balanced, global automotive powerhouse
3. Nintendo — strong intellectual property and entertainment brands, but more sensitive to product cycles
4. SoftBank Group — high AI/technology potential but also higher risk and volatility

This is not investment advice; the yen exchange rate and high market valuations, especially in Japan, can significantly impact returns.
