#Gate股票观点挑战 $UNITREE Can Unitree Technology Lead the Next Robotics Wave?

The robotics industry is moving from science fiction toward real-world commercial adoption, and Unitree Technology has become one of the most closely watched names in China’s humanoid robotics sector. With the Gate Square Stock Opinion Challenge now focusing on $UNITREE, I think this is a perfect opportunity to look beyond the hype and ask a more important question: Can Unitree turn its rapid technological progress and strong market attention into sustainable long-term growth?

Unitree has already demonstrated significant momentum in humanoid robotics. According to recent company information reported by Gate, Unitree’s cumulative shipments of biped humanoid robots reached approximately 18,000 units, with around 5,900 units delivered in the first half of 2026 alone. The company reportedly captured about 31% of the global humanoid robot market during that period.

For me, that 31% figure is one of the most interesting parts of the story. Robotics is still an emerging market, but gaining meaningful market share at this stage can create an important advantage in manufacturing, software development, real-world data collection, customer relationships and brand recognition.

My View: The Opportunity Is Much Bigger Than Humanoid Robots

When I look at $UNITREE, I don't see the story as simply “another robot company.”

The bigger opportunity is the combination of robotics + artificial intelligence + manufacturing + embodied intelligence.

Humanoid robots could eventually become useful in factories, logistics, research environments, commercial facilities, education, healthcare support and potentially household applications. But the transition from impressive demonstrations to profitable mass deployment will take time.

That is why I believe investors should separate two things:

The long-term robotics opportunity is extremely attractive.

The short-term valuation and stock performance can still be extremely volatile.

Both statements can be true at the same time.

IPO Momentum Has Already Created Huge Attention

Unitree’s IPO story has attracted extraordinary market attention. The company priced its Shanghai Star Market IPO at 150.8 yuan per share, giving it an initial valuation of approximately $9 billion and raising around $904 million through the offering, according to recent reporting.

The demand was also remarkable. Recent Gate reporting showed an online IPO subscription rate of only 0.01809759%, highlighting the enormous level of competition among investors trying to obtain an allocation.

This tells me that the market is already assigning a significant premium to the robotics theme.

And that leads to my biggest warning:

Strong technology does not automatically mean every valuation is attractive.

When expectations become extremely high, even a great company can experience sharp corrections if growth fails to meet those expectations.

What I Like About Unitree

There are several reasons why $UNITREE is interesting to me.

First, the company is operating in one of the fastest-growing technology themes: physical AI and humanoid robotics.

Second, its reported shipment growth suggests that the company is moving beyond prototypes toward actual production and deployment.

Third, its reported 31% global humanoid robot market share gives it meaningful positioning while the industry is still developing.

Fourth, Unitree has attracted strategic attention from major technology players. Recent IPO reporting indicated that Tencent Holdings and DeepSeek participated in the strategic placement, while DeepSeek invested approximately 141 million yuan and entered into a three-year lock-up arrangement. The companies are also expected to collaborate around AI models and embodied-intelligence technology.

For me, the combination of robotics hardware, AI software and strategic partnerships is what makes the long-term story particularly interesting.

But I Am Not Chasing the Hype

This is where my trading experience changes my approach.

Whenever a stock becomes a hot topic, I remind myself that attention creates volatility in both directions.

A stock can rise because of strong fundamentals, but it can also rise because traders are chasing the narrative.

That means I would not enter a $UNITREE position simply because robotics is trending.

I would first look at:

Revenue growth

Robot shipment growth

Gross margins

Production capacity

AI/software monetization

Cash flow

Competitive positioning

Valuation

Institutional participation

If those fundamentals continue improving while valuation becomes more reasonable, the long-term setup becomes much more attractive.

My Trading Plan for $UNITREE

My strategy would be staged entry rather than an all-in position.

If I decide to trade the stock, I would divide my planned capital into four parts.

25% — Initial position: only after identifying a strong technical setup.

25% — Confirmation: add if the price establishes a higher high and confirms the trend.

25% — Pullback: keep capital available for a healthy correction toward support.

25% — Reserve: keep some liquidity for unexpected volatility or a major market-wide correction.

I would also avoid using excessive leverage because robotics stocks can move dramatically when IPO sentiment, AI news or institutional flows change.

My Bullish Scenario

My bullish thesis is straightforward:

If Unitree continues increasing production, expanding its humanoid robot deployments, maintaining strong market share and successfully integrating AI into its products, then the company could become one of the major global players in embodied AI.

The biggest potential catalyst would be mass commercialization.

Imagine a future where humanoid robots are no longer limited to demonstrations but are deployed at scale across factories, warehouses, logistics networks and commercial environments.

At that point, the market would potentially value robotics companies based on recurring commercial demand rather than simply future expectations.

That is the transition I am watching.

My Bearish Scenario

The risk side is equally important.

Robotics manufacturing is expensive.

Competition is increasing.

Technology changes quickly.

AI hardware and software development require substantial capital.

And after a highly successful IPO, expectations can become much higher than the company's actual near-term earnings.

If growth slows or valuation becomes disconnected from fundamentals, $UNITREE could experience significant volatility.

Recent pre-IPO contract activity also showed how quickly sentiment can change. Gate reported that the Unitree pre-IPO perpetual contract reached around $86.10 on August 11, implying a post-IPO valuation of roughly $34.8 billion, substantially above the IPO valuation.

For me, that gap itself is a warning sign: expectations can move much faster than fundamentals.

My Long-Term Perspective

I believe the robotics revolution is still in its early stages.

AI has primarily been operating inside computers and smartphones. The next major evolution could be AI moving into the physical world.

That means robots could eventually become another major interface between humans and artificial intelligence.

Unitree is interesting because it is positioned directly inside that transition.

But I would rather buy a strong company at a reasonable valuation than buy an exciting story at any price.

My Final Take

My view on $UNITREE is long-term bullish on the robotics and embodied-AI theme, but short-term cautious because expectations and volatility are extremely high.

I will be watching three things most closely:

1. Robot shipments: Can Unitree continue growing production rapidly?

2. Commercial adoption: Are customers actually deploying robots at scale?

3. Valuation vs. growth: Can earnings eventually justify the market's enormous expectations?

If the answers remain positive, Unitree could become one of the most important robotics companies to watch over the next several years.

For my trading strategy, I prefer confirmation over FOMO, staged entries over all-in positions, and risk management over emotional decisions.

The robotics race has only just begun.

$UNITREE is one of the names I will be watching closely — not simply because robots are trending, but because the company is trying to turn AI intelligence into physical-world machines.

Now I want to hear from the Gate Square community:

Do you believe Unitree Technology can become a global leader in humanoid robotics, or is the current market enthusiasm already pricing in too much future growth?
