BTC + ETH Daily Market Analysis: Rebound Confirmed, But the Retest Matters
Bitcoin and Ethereum have entered a very different market environment after yesterday’s sharp upside move. BTC is currently trading around $69.5K–$69.9K, while ETH is around $2.24K, after both assets experienced a major momentum expansion.
On the 1-day timeframe, the most important development is the recovery from the recent lower range and the aggressive expansion in volume and momentum. Bitcoin moved above $68K and reached levels near $70K, while Ethereum reclaimed $2,000 and pushed above $2,100 during the rally. This move was supported by heavy short covering, positive ETF flows and a broader improvement in risk sentiment.
But a strong daily candle does not automatically mean the next candle will continue higher.
BTC — The $70K Decision Zone
Bitcoin is now approaching a major psychological resistance around $70,000.
If BTC can produce a strong daily close above $70K and subsequently defend that level as support, the breakout would become much more convincing. In that scenario, I would watch $71.5K–$72K first, followed by $73K–$75K as the next broader resistance area.
The more important bullish signal would be a successful retest. A move above $70K followed by a controlled pullback toward $68K–$69K, followed by renewed buying, would show that the market is accepting the higher range rather than simply reacting to short liquidations.
If BTC fails to hold the breakout and closes back below the $68K area, momentum could cool significantly. The next important support zone would be around $65K–$66K, with the recent breakout structure becoming the key test.
ETH — Stronger Momentum, Higher Volatility
Ethereum has shown even stronger short-term momentum. ETH reclaimed $2,000 and pushed above $2,100 during the rally, while current prices are around the $2.2K–$2.25K region.
The first major question is whether ETH can establish $2,200–$2,250 as a sustainable support area.
If that happens, the next upside zones I would monitor are $2,300, then $2,400–$2,450, with $2,500 becoming a larger psychological target.
However, ETH's rapid percentage gain also means volatility risk is elevated. A pullback toward the breakout area would not automatically be bearish. What matters is whether buyers defend the previous resistance after the market cools down.
What I’m Watching on the Daily Chart
BTC:
$70K = major breakout decision
$68K–$69K = first support/retest zone
$65K–$66K = deeper support
$72K–$75K = upside targets if breakout holds
ETH:
$2,300 = immediate psychological resistance
$2,200–$2,250 = important support zone
$2,000–$2,100 = major breakout structure
$2,400–$2,500 = next upside region
The macro backdrop has also improved. The U.S. Treasury announced an expansion of long-term debt buybacks, while spot Bitcoin ETF flows turned positive, with one report showing about $517 million of net inflows, the largest daily inflow in roughly three and a half months. These factors helped reinforce the risk-on move.
My current daily-timeframe view is bullish but not a reason to chase blindly.
The rally has already done the easy part: breaking through resistance.
Now the market has to prove that these higher prices can be defended without continued liquidation-driven buying.
BTC holding $68K–$69K and reclaiming $70K would keep the bullish structure strong.
ETH holding above $2.2K–$2.25K and breaking $2.3K would strengthen the catch-up rally.
For me, the next daily close and the quality of the retest are more important than another explosive green candle.
The real confirmation is not how high BTC and ETH can spike.
It is whether buyers remain after the excitement disappears.
