Unitree Technology (UNITREE) — Market Analysis and Trading Outlook
Unitree Technology is one of the most exciting names in robotics and physical artificial intelligence. The company has built strong recognition through quadruped robots and humanoid robotics, placing it at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advanced hardware and automation. Its Shanghai STAR Market debut created extraordinary market excitement, with the IPO priced around 150.8 yuan, approximately $22.35, and an initial valuation near $9 billion. The stock then surged by more than 629%, pushing its peak valuation above approximately $66 billion. Retail subscription reportedly exceeded 8,000 times, with an allotment rate near 0.018%, highlighting the enormous investor demand.
At the current reference price of $105 on the UNITREE perpetual contract, the market remains dramatically above the IPO-equivalent price.
From approximately $22.35 to $105, the increase is around 370%. Compared with the recent high near $131, the current price is approximately 19.8% lower. The move from the pre-IPO area around $92–$100 to $131 demonstrates how quickly this market can expand. At $105, UNITREE is still trading around 12.9% above $93 and approximately 5% above $100, showing that buyers are still defending the major psychological zone.
The one-day technical structure remains cautiously bullish, although short-term momentum is corrective. UNITREE moved from approximately $75 toward $90, then $100, and eventually $131, creating a series of higher highs. From $75 to $131, the increase was approximately 74.7%. From $90 to $131, the gain was approximately 45.6%, while the move from $100 to $131 represented approximately 31%. The correction from $131 to $105 is around 19.8%, which is significant but not necessarily a complete trend reversal after such an explosive rally.
The most important support is $100. A move from $105 to $100 represents approximately 4.8% downside. If $100 holds, the bullish structure remains intact. The next support is $95, approximately 9.5% below $105. A deeper support zone sits around $88–$90, representing approximately 14.3%–16.2% downside. A decisive close below $90 would seriously weaken the bullish structure and could signal a deeper correction.
On the upside, $113–$115 is the first resistance zone. From $105, $113 represents approximately 7.6% upside and $115 represents approximately 9.5%. The next target is $125, approximately 19% above $105. The major resistance remains $131, approximately 24.8% above $105. If $131 breaks decisively, $140 becomes the next psychological target, representing approximately 33.3% upside. An aggressive extension toward $150 would represent approximately 42.9% upside from $105.
My preferred near-term scenario is consolidation between approximately $95 and $115 before another attempt at $131. If buyers defend $100–$105 and price reclaims $113–$115, momentum could strengthen toward $125 and $131. A successful breakout above $131 could create a new price-discovery phase, with $140 and $150 becoming possible targets. However, these higher targets require strong volume and sustained buying pressure.
Funding and positioning are also important. Negative funding means short sellers are paying longs, and if price begins rising while funding remains negative, a short squeeze can develop.
This could accelerate a move through $113, $125 and $131. However, funding can change rapidly, so it should be used as supporting evidence rather than a standalone trading signal.
Open interest is another major factor. Rising open interest means more leveraged positions are entering the market. If price rises together with open interest, bullish momentum can strengthen. If open interest rises while price falls, liquidation risk increases. UNITREE is already an extremely volatile instrument, so leverage can magnify both profits and losses very quickly.
For a disciplined plan around $105, the profit-taking ladder could focus on $113, $125 and $140–$150. At $113, the potential gain is approximately 7.6%. At $125, it is approximately 19%. At $131, approximately 24.8%. At $140, approximately 33.3%. At $150, approximately 42.9%. These levels provide a clear roadmap instead of relying on one single target.
The downside roadmap is equally important.
$100 represents approximately 4.8% downside from $105. $98 represents approximately 6.7% downside. $95 represents approximately 9.5% downside. $93 represents approximately 11.4% downside. $90 represents approximately 14.3% downside, while $88 represents approximately 16.2% downside. If price closes below $90, I would consider the bullish structure significantly damaged.
The robotics narrative remains one of Unitree's strongest long-term advantages. Physical AI, humanoid robots, quadruped robots, automation and intelligent machines could become major technology themes over the coming years. Unitree is positioned directly inside this transformation, giving the company substantial speculative appeal. However, strong technology does not mean the market price cannot fall sharply. After a move of more than 600%, large corrections are completely possible.
The valuation also deserves attention. The approximately $9 billion IPO valuation and peak valuation above $66 billion represent an enormous repricing of expectations. The move from $9 billion to $66 billion is approximately 633%. This illustrates both the strength of the robotics narrative and the valuation risk. At extremely high valuations, even excellent companies can experience 20%, 30% or 40% corrections without their long-term story necessarily changing.
My bullish scenario is that UNITREE holds $100, reclaims $113–$115, moves through $125 and retests $131. A confirmed breakout above $131 could target $140 and potentially $150. From $105, that would mean approximately 7.6%, 19%, 24.8%, 33.3% and 42.9% upside at the major levels respectively.
My neutral scenario is consolidation between $95 and $115. This would allow excessive leverage to cool down and give the market time to establish a stronger base. My bearish scenario begins with a sustained break below $95, followed by a move toward $90 or $88. A breakdown below $90 would represent approximately 14%–16% downside from $105 and would require a complete reassessment of the bullish setup.
My overall view remains cautiously bullish above $95–$100. The most important levels are $100 support, $95 structural support, $113–$115 resistance and $131 previous high. Above $115, the probability of another $131 test increases.
Above $131, $140 and $150 become realistic extension targets. Below $95, caution increases significantly, while below $90 the current bullish structure would be seriously weakened.
Unitree remains one of the most exciting robotics opportunities in the market, but its extraordinary volatility means risk management is essential. The potential from $105 toward $113, $125, $131, $140 and $150 is attractive, but the potential decline toward $100, $95, $90 and $88 must also be respected. My preference is to focus on confirmed breakouts, controlled position sizing and clearly defined invalidation levels rather than chasing rapid price movements.
At $105, the market is sitting at an important decision point. Holding $100–$105 keeps the recovery structure alive. Reclaiming $113–$115 strengthens the bullish case. Breaking $125 brings $131 into focus, while a clean break above $131 could open $140–$150. On the other hand, losing $95 and especially $90 would significantly change the outlook.
Unitree has a powerful combination of robotics, artificial intelligence, automation and market attention. The long-term story is compelling, but the short-term price can remain extremely volatile after a 629%+ listing surge. My final bias is cautiously bullish above $95–$100, with $113–$115 as the first target, $125–$131 as the major target zone and $140–$150 as the aggressive upside scenario.
