Crypto Market Today: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP Hold Support as US-Iran Pause Eases Tensions
The cryptocurrency market traded steadily on Monday as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP held key support levels after the United States and Iran agreed to temporarily halt military strikes and pursue diplomatic talks. The easing tensions helped improve market sentiment, while lower oil prices reduced concerns over inflation.
Bitcoin Holds Above $65K
Bitcoin remained above $65,000, maintaining a cautiously bullish outlook after reclaiming its 50-day EMA. However, strong resistance remains near the $67,300–$67,800 range. Technical indicators suggest momentum is improving, though buyers still need a stronger breakout to confirm a sustained recovery.
Ethereum Nears $2,000
Ethereum traded around $1,965, continuing to outperform much of the market. It remains above its key moving averages, with technical indicators pointing to steady buying momentum. A move above $2,000 could strengthen bullish sentiment.
XRP Stays Above $1.10
XRP held slightly above $1.10, supported by the broader market recovery. While momentum remains modest, continued strength in Bitcoin and Ethereum could help lift XRP higher.
Sentiment Improves Slightly
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index rose from 28 to 33 but remains in the "Fear" zone. Investors are cautiously optimistic that the pause in hostilities between the U.S. and Iran could reduce market uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Blockware Intelligence noted that Bitcoin's short-term holder realized price is around $69,000. A sustained move above that level could signal stronger long-term momentum.
Looking Ahead
Markets will continue monitoring developments in U.S.-Iran relations, oil prices, Federal Reserve policy expectations, and ETF flows. While sentiment has improved, geopolitical and macroeconomic risks continue to influence the crypto market.
