U.S. President Trump stated that Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and ADA will be included in the U.S. Crypto Assets reserve, and mentioned that Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), like other valuable Crypto Assets, will become the core of the (Crypto Assets Strategy) reserve.
As soon as the news broke, the Crypto Assets market experienced a long-awaited collective big pump. Bitcoin returned to the $90,000 range; ADA once rose over 70%, becoming the eighth largest Crypto Asset by market capitalization; the total market capitalization of Crypto Assets rebounded by 9% to $3.254 trillion.
However, the sudden big pump also led to a large number of short positions getting liquidated. Coinglass data shows that in the past 24 hours, over 176,000 people globally were Get Liquidated, with a total liquidation amount of $811 million, of which short order liquidations accounted for $550 million.
