Ukraine is building defensive lines at the front: Zelenskyi reported on the pace

Zelenskyi held a meeting of the Stavka / screenshot President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated that the construction of defense fortifications is progressing well. This was announced by the head of state following the meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in Telegram.

In particular, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal presented a report on the pace of construction of new defense lines.

“The protection of three lanes 2,000 kilometers long is a large-scale task, but now the pace is good. I expect it to be completed on time,” Zelensky emphasized.

Also, as the president reported, detailed summaries from the command regarding the situation on the battlefield were heard at the Staff meeting. In particular, the reports of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Bargylevych and field commanders were heard. It was about the Kupyansky, Lymansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdiivsky, Mariinsky, Southern directions and about the operations of the marines.

In addition, reports were heard from the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov and the head of the Ministry of Strategy and Industry Oleksandr Kamyshin regarding the provision of the front with everything necessary.

“Actual and future arrival of projectiles, missiles and other weapons. Own production,” Zelenskyy added.

As UNIAN reported, Ukraine is rapidly building defensive lines at the front. New forces and equipment were recruited for engineering works. A plan for the fortification of defensive lines was drawn up and approved, which defined the scope of work, the deadlines and those responsible for each section
