Regarding the post-establishment work plan, the opinions stated:

1. Combined with the basis of previous research, organize domestic industry, academia, and research parties in the Metaverse to strengthen the research and improvement of the standard system that reflects the typical characteristics of the Metaverse, and compile a roadmap for standardization of the Metaverse.

2. In accordance with the principle of urgent needs first, focus on accelerating the development of basic universal standards such as Metaverse terminology and reference architecture, as well as key technical standards such as Metaverse identity system, digital content generation, and cross-domain interoperability, and prioritize the development of “Metaverse + Industrial Manufacturing” and other Development of industry application standards.

3. Facing new technologies, new products, new business formats, and new models in the metaverse fields such as privacy protection, content supervision, and data security, accelerate research on key technologies and industry development, and strengthen research on brain-computer interfaces, generative artificial intelligence, and quantum information. Technology integration and innovation in other fields.

4. Carry out research on application standards for industrial metaverse, urban metaverse, virtual digital human, etc., guide industry associations, standardization professional institutions and technical organizations, carry out standard promotion and implementation for producers and users of the metaverse industry, and guide enterprises in research and development, Production, management and other links must be aligned with standards to improve the effectiveness of standard application.

5. Encourage domestic enterprises and institutions to participate deeply in international standardization activities and propose international standard proposals in a timely manner. Relying on the foundation of the domestic Metaverse industry standardization work, we will actively promote the establishment of Metaverse standardization-related organizations in international standardization organizations such as ISO, IEC, and ITU to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of my country’s Metaverse industry.
