Web3Auth: Some transfers mistakenly attributed to attackers were actually asset rescue efforts; rescue addresses have been published

Abstract generation in progress
ME News, November 8 (UTC+8) — Web3Auth tweeted that, as part of its ongoing response to a security incident involving some Keplr wallets, it is working with Keplr to transfer affected assets to secure recovery wallets. Web3Auth said some of the related transfers were mistakenly attributed to the attacker and published verified recovery addresses covering Cosmos Hub, Osmosis, Celestia, Akash, Noble, Injective, dYdX, Babylon, Axelar, Saga, Agoric, and addresses beginning with 0x413 on eight EVM chains. Web3Auth said it will update the list as more addresses are verified and reminded users to rely on information from official channels and beware of impersonators and fraudulent asset recovery requests.
