PANews July 29 news: RoboStrategy disclosed on the X platform that it led a $200 million Series C financing round for the robotics company Standard Bots, valuing the company at $1 billion post-investment. RoboStrategy said that industrial robotic arms were invented in the United States, but the U.S. has lost dominance in the industry. The existing product architecture has been frozen since the 1980s, making it difficult to adapt to AI real-time control and variable scenarios. Standard Bots redesigned the robotic arm from scratch; every component was optimized for AI to enable joint-level torque sensing, a 2kHz real-time feedback closed-loop system, and ease of use so that workers can complete teaching within a day, using a U.S.-based domestic supply chain. Its product line includes Spark, Core, Thor, and the Bolt dual-arm robot (in the testing stage), with Thor having a payload of 30 kg and a working radius of 2 meters. Compared with FANUC CRX and UR10e, Core achieves higher payload and tighter repeatable positioning accuracy while costing less. The company’s goal is to capture 10% of new industrial robot deployments in the United States within one year, and to achieve end-to-end U.S. manufacturing—from metal raw materials to robots—by 2027.
