$DEXE Rebounds 17% from Demand Zone, But Structural Risks Remain

DEXE has staged a sharp recovery over the past 24 hours, rising roughly 17% from the $2.56 low to trade around $3.04 at the time of writing . The move follows a catastrophic 85% collapse from its July 13 all-time high of $49.64, marking one of the most violent reversals in recent crypto history .

The Demand Zone Bounce: What Actually Happened

The recovery appears to be a classic reaction to a well-defined demand zone. Analysts identified the $1.68–$2.43 region as a structural support area where buyers had previously accumulated . When price dipped into the lower end of that range around $2.56, dip buyers stepped in, triggering a short-term bounce.

Derivatives data confirms the squeeze dynamic. Over the past 24 hours, approximately $767,000 in short positions were liquidated, compared to $588,000 in longs . This forced buying from bearish traders, combined with spot accumulation at the demand zone, created the fuel for the rebound. Short sellers are once again being squeezed as price rallies, mirroring the dynamic that drove the initial rally to $49, though on a much smaller scale.

What the Data Shows

On-chain data provides some context for the price action. DEXE has recorded one of the largest exchange inflows of 2026, with roughly 261,000 tokens moved onto trading platforms . Rising exchange deposits typically signal growing sell-side pressure, a factor that likely contributed to the collapse from $49.

The total supply structure is also worth noting. All 96.5 million DEXE tokens are now fully unlocked across DAO treasury, foundation, team, staking rewards, and token sale allocations . This means no additional supply is locked in vesting contracts, removing one potential source of future selling pressure, but also eliminating the scarcity premium that can support prices.

Technical Levels to Watch

The EMA cluster between $3.04 and $3.20 is the most critical near-term support . As long as price holds above this zone, the short-term structure remains bullish. Immediate resistance sits near $3.90, with a secondary target around $4.91 .

The RSI at 60.86 has room to run before hitting overbought territory, which could allow further upside if momentum continues . However, the token remains down over 80% from its all-time high, and the overall trend structure is still bearish on higher timeframes.

Key Levels to Watch

· Immediate Resistance: $3.90, then $4.91
· EMA Support Zone: $3.04–$3.20 (first defense)
· Demand Zone Base: $2.43 (breakdown level)
· Structural Support: $1.68 (final line in the sand)

What This Means for Traders

The demand zone bounce is a classic short-term setup, but the broader picture suggests caution. The exchange inflows that preceded the collapse are a reminder that large holders have been willing to sell at higher levels. The fully unlocked supply means no structural scarcity is supporting price. For now, the price action is best viewed as a relief rally within a larger corrective structure rather than the start of a new uptrend.
