A fake Sparrow Wallet app was live in it
Sparrow has never shipped an iOS app so there was nothing to compare it against.
Apple had been warned about fakes more than a year earlier and still ranked this app in its curated crypto collections.
One user entered his seed phrase and lost 7.4 BTC. He reported it to Apple that same day but nobody contacted him. 9 days later another user downloaded the same app and lost $840,000. A 3rd lost $120,000.

Apple beat an identical suit in 2021 by arguing it publishes apps rather than creates them so the liability isn’t its problem
The lawsuit says other fake Sparrow apps are still in the store today.
