ME AI News. According to TrendForce, the latest MLCC industry survey by JiBeng Consulting, driven by strong AI demand, in June 2026 the three major Japanese and Korean manufacturers—Murata, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Taiyo Yuden—saw shipments rise together to the highest single-month level in nearly five years. Their consumer-grade orders continued to spill over, which is favorable for other manufacturers, and channel quotations also saw increases. As Japanese and Korean firms accelerate the shift of consumer-grade X5R capacity to AI-focused high-end specifications X6S/X7R, capacity for consumer-grade medium-to-high capacitance MLCCs (1uF–22uF) has been squeezed; the inventory levels for mainstream part numbers are generally already below 30 days. Under this displacement effect, rush orders from channels, distributors, and Tier 2/3 customers have surged, the order spillover effect keeps expanding, order visibility for other manufacturers has improved noticeably, and quotations have risen in tandem.
