ME News, July 28 (UTC+8). SOON posted on X that it detected a security incident affecting its operating environment on July 12 and subsequently paused the sequencer and related services. The incident was caused by configuration errors and permission-management issues in its operating infrastructure. External attackers obtained unauthorized access through improperly configured services, but the event did not involve any protocol vulnerabilities, the sequencer, or users’ smart contracts. User assets were not affected. SOON has hired BlockSec to conduct an independent review, replaced the affected credentials, and rebuilt and hardened the relevant infrastructure components. On July 21, it resumed NFT minting and token claiming functions, and on July 27, the mainnet RPC services and block production returned to normal. (Source: PANews)
