BTC pullback confirmed, is an ETH lagging sell-off starting? The market’s short-term enters a key turning point

In recent days, the crypto market has shown a clear split:

After Bitcoin consolidated at high levels, it pulled back; meanwhile, Ethereum failed to break through around 1980 and quickly dropped lower, cooling short-term sentiment.

BTC: a potential head-and-shoulders pattern appears—watch the key support

From Bitcoin’s 4-hour structure: after previously surging to the 66,500~66,900 range, it faced pressure and fell back. The current走势 forms a structure similar to a “head-and-shoulders top”:

Left shoulder: 64,500~65,500
Head: 66,500~66,900
Right shoulder: around 65,500

But the top is not fully confirmed yet. What ultimately determines the direction is the neckline support.

Focus on:

Around 63,800: the first short-term support
Around 62,800: the key neckline of the head-and-shoulders top
Around 61,600: the trend defense level

If 62,800 breaks, the head-and-shoulders pattern completes, and the market may further seek the 60,000~61,000 area.

But if BTC regains and holds above 65,500, there is still an opportunity to retest 66,500 and even 67,000.

ETH: rally fades and pulls back—short-term pressure releases

Ethereum’s 4-hour走势 is even clearer.

Previously, ETH surged toward 1980 but failed, then followed a series of bearish candles to pull back. Current price is around 1,870.

From a technical standpoint:

The MACD turns down from a high point, the red bars shorten, and short-term momentum starts to fade.

What to watch now:

Around 1,850: the first support zone

This is also an area where there have been multiple prior consolidations; if it holds, ETH still has the chance to rebound and challenge:

1,900~1,920
1,950~1,980

But if 1,850 breaks, then you need to further monitor:

The 1,800~1,820 support zone.

Market logic: BTC decides direction, ETH amplifies volatility

At the moment, the market is not simply in a downtrend—it looks more like a technical correction after a high-level rise.

BTC is the core of the market. If it can hold the 63,800~62,800 area, the overall upward structure has not been completely broken.

However, since ETH’s prior gains came faster, fund sentiment is more sensitive, leading to a more pronounced pullback.

Next, the key points are:

Can BTC hold 62,800
Can ETH hold 1,850

In the short term:

If BTC does not break key support, the pullback is more likely to be an opportunity; if ETH’s decline widens, then you’ll need to wait for sentiment to release.

Price action never rises straight up, and it never falls one-way.

Real opportunities often emerge when the market is most uncertain.
