Japan and South Korea’s stock markets plunge, with South Korea’s main index down nearly 11%

PANews July 28 reported that Bybit market data shows Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index fell 2,566.27 points, or 3.95%, to close at 62,364.92 points on July 28 (Tuesday). South Korea’s KOSPI Index fell 732.12 points, or 10.84%, to close at 6,023.63 points on July 28 (Tuesday); it once fell more than 11% intraday to below 6,000 points. This month, it has cumulatively dropped nearly 30%; SK Hynix fell more than 14%, and Samsung Electronics fell more than 13%.
