Sky announced that it is currently building Laniakea, creating an institutional-grade on-chain capital allocation infrastructure

AIMPACT news, April 28 (UTC+8), Sky announced that it is building Laniakea, a standardized infrastructure framework for institutional capital deployment, for its Sky Agent Network. Currently, Sky Protocol manages more than $11 billion in circulating USDS, and generates returns through strategies including DeFi lending, private credit, and compliant real-world assets. Laniakea will serve as the underlying infrastructure to improve the scalability and efficiency of capital allocation, further pushing on-chain finance toward the institutional level. The project aims to address the problem that more than $300 billion worth of stablecoins are idle and lack a unified infrastructure. Laniakea will achieve standardization across four dimensions: smart contracts, risk and governance, data infrastructure, and legal compliance, so that new capital products do not need to repeatedly build the underlying framework, enabling modular scaling and large-scale deployment. At the same time, by unifying risk measurement and loss tranching mechanisms, it ensures risk transparency and clearly defined responsibilities. Under this framework, Sky Agents (Primes) will develop investment strategies and compete for capital allocation based on unified standards, while specific products (Halos) rely on shared infrastructure for rapid deployment. Laniakea will also encode the entire protocol’s operating state in a machine-readable way, providing a foundation for AI-driven real-time risk control and capital routing. As the capital scale expands and returns increase, Sky expects to strengthen SKY token value-capture capabilities through buyback and staking mechanisms. (Source: ChainCatcher)
