ME News, April 28 (UTC+8), Tuesday: When Asian stock markets open, they are expected to perform weakly, as investors turn their attention to the earnings reports of U.S. tech giants with a combined market cap of nearly $16 trillion. Walter Todd, president and chief investment officer of Greenwood Capital Associates, said the U.S. stock market has rebounded to record highs and appears to be disregarding ongoing geopolitical risks, mainly thanks to raised profit expectations and improved market sentiment. He warned that if optimistic expectations start to show cracks, it will pose a major risk to the market’s direction. (Source: ChainCatcher)
