SI FULAN — WHEN A SPRING RUNS DRY

Boss, after the King returned to the palace with an open heart, the village entered its most peaceful period. However, as Mbah Joyo taught, life never stops teaching lessons. One morning, Joko came running toward Bayu with an anxious face.

Grandfather, the spring behind the hill is starting to dry up!

Bayu rushed toward the spring. That was right—the water was starting to run low. If it kept going like this, the village could lose their source of life.

WHEN THE WATER RECEDES

The villagers began to panic. Some started blaming the weather, some blamed their fate, and some began questioning Si Fulan’s protection. Bayu didn’t answer with words. He only knelt at the edge of the spring, lost in thought.

Joko sat beside him.

Grandfather, can’t Si Fulan help us?”

Bayu looked at Joko gently.

“Si Fulan isn’t an magic coin, Son. It is a reminder. And the best kind of reminder is the one that makes us think—not the one that makes us depend.”

FINDING THE HIDDEN SOURCE

Bayu took some villagers to follow the stream upstream. They walked for hours, passing through bushes and rocks. In the end, they found that the spring’s flow was blocked by small landslides from the cliff above.

Bayu smiled.

It wasn’t that the water was decreasing. Only the pathway was blocked.

They cleared the landslides together through cooperation. In just one day, the water flowed as forcefully as usual again.

MESSAGE

“Sometimes the problem isn’t because the source is drying up, but because the path is blocked.

In every difficulty, there is always a way that can be cleared through cooperation.

Si Fulan teaches us to look for solutions, not to look for a scapegoat.”
