Nvidia invests tens of billions of dollars in AI startup Safe Superintelligence and has reached a long-term partnership
PANews July 28 report: According to the UK’s Financial Times, NVIDIA announced a long-term partnership with Safe Superintelligence (SSI), an AI startup founded by Ilya Sutskever, a co-founder of OpenAI, and plans to invest billions of dollars to support the company in scaling its AI compute infrastructure.
SSI said it will adopt NVIDIA’s latest-generation Vera Rubin platform, and compute capacity is expected to increase 10x within the next 12 months, to advance its yet-to-be-publicized AI research breakthroughs. SSI currently has only dozens of employees. It previously completed $2 billion in financing in 2025, reaching a valuation of $32 billion, with investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and others. This cooperation further strengthens NVIDIA’s strategic partnership layout with leading AI model developers.
