A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that China urges the U.S. to listen to objective and rational voices from the business communities of both China and the U.S., correct hegemonic thinking, and stop smearing Chinese companies and threatening sanctions. For any actions that cause substantive damage to China’s interests, China will take all necessary measures to firmly uphold its legitimate and lawful rights and interests. China hopes the U.S. will earnestly implement the consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, move in the same direction as China, strengthen dialogue and communication on artificial intelligence, and jointly promote AI for the benefit of both countries and the world through advancing and improving AI governance.
