Amid the wave of institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies, Bitmine Immersion Technologies (New York Stock Exchange ticker: BMNR), a publicly listed company focused on an Ethereum (ETH) treasury strategy, is expanding its crypto empire at a staggering pace. According to the latest operating report released by the company on July 27, 2026 (Taipei time), over the past week it again bought an additional 9,946 ETH, continuing its weekly DCA strategy launched in late June 2025.

Approaching 5% of global supply, total assets reach $11.8 billion

As of July 26, 2026, Bitmine’s total Ethereum holdings have reached 5,787,414 ETH, or about 4.8% of the global ETH total circulating supply (about 120.7 million coins). This means that in just 13 months, the company has completed 96% of its grand blueprint for “Alchemy of 5%” (targeting holdings equal to 5% of global ETH).

In addition to its massive Ethereum position (estimated at about $1,948 per share), Bitmine also holds 208 Bitcoin (BTC) on its balance sheet, as well as $268 million in cash and marketable securities, plus strategic equity investments in Beast Industries (about $180 million) and Eightco Holdings (about $61 million). When totaled, Bitmine’s current total asset value has risen to an astonishing scale of about $11.8 billion.

Beyond simply holding, Bitmine is also an important contributor to—and beneficiary of—the security of the Ethereum network. The announcement states that the company has currently staked as much as 4,917,189 ETH through its own MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network) platform, accounting for 85% of its total holdings, with a total value of approximately $9.6 billion.

Bitmine claims this makes it the single organization with the most staked ETH globally. Based on a 7-day annualized yield of 2.65%, the company estimates that this large staked asset base will generate steady annual returns of about $254 million to $299 million. Going forward, the MAVAN platform is expected to further expand beyond serving the company’s own assets, providing infrastructure services to external institutional investors.

Blasting cash on buybacks, Tom Lee bullish on ETH breaking $2,500

On the capital markets front, Bitmine was just added to the Russell 1000 large-cap index on June 26 this year, and it is actively carrying out its stock buyback plan worth as much as $4 billion. Data show that over the past week, the company has repurchased 6.1 million shares of common stock, and since July 1, it has accumulated buybacks of 11.6 million shares—making it one of the largest buyback actions among digital-asset treasury companies.

Bitmine Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee is highly optimistic about the outlook. He noted that although the chances of the U.S. crypto regulatory bill, the “Clarity Act,” passing this year have declined, the ETH/BTC exchange rate has risen to a three-month high of 0.3000, which is a very positive market signal. He emphasized that, supported by strong backing from top institutions such as Cathie Wood of Ark Invest (ARK Invest) and Founders Fund, ETH’s price is currently at a 10-week high, and the technical picture could push it toward $2,000 to $2,500.
