$2.5M ETH waiting to enter staking.

A 44-day queue.
ETH still can’t reclaim $2,000.
At first glance, those don’t seem to fit together.
The market is looking at price.
I’m paying attention to behavior.
➜ The validator exit queue has fallen to zero.
➜ More than 2.5M ETH is waiting to be staked.
➜ Over 33% of ETH supply is now locked.
The interesting part isn’t that staking is increasing.
It’s that participants are voluntarily accepting a 44-day wait while ETH is still trading below a major resistance level.
That’s an economic decision.
Locking capital means giving up liquidity and the ability to react immediately if the market turns.
People don’t willingly do that if they expect lower prices in the near term.
A year ago, the conversation was completely different.
The concern was millions of ETH leaving staking and hitting the market.
Today, the flow has reversed.
Instead of preparing to sell, participants are preparing to lock more ETH away.
Price hasn’t confirmed that change yet.
Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn’t.
But when on-chain behavior and price action tell different stories, I usually pay closer attention to the side where capital is making irreversible decisions.
Charts reflect sentiment.
Capital allocation reflects conviction.
And conviction often changes before price does.
