ME News report, April 28 (UTC+8): In its latest report, the research firm Bernstein said that as Bitcoin nears the $80k level, the crypto market is entering a new round of structural growth. This cycle may be longer than before, and offers “asymmetric upside potential.” The report noted that the prior drop to $60k formed a stage bottom, and the market is being driven by the integration of institutional capital and traditional financial systems. Analyst Gautam Chhugani said: “The best days for the crypto industry are still ahead, and it will show up in a higher and more durable bull-cycle.” In terms of supply structure, about 60% of Bitcoin has not moved for over a year, indicating an increasing share of long-term holders; meanwhile, ongoing allocations through ETFs and corporate balance sheets continue to absorb supply. Strategy currently holds about 818k BTC, and its yield products are also attracting more traditional capital. On the institutional channel side, Morgan Stanley and Charles Schwab, among others, are expanding entry points for Bitcoin ETFs and spot trading, further lowering the investment threshold. On fundamentals, stablecoin supply has surpassed $300 billion, and real payment and settlement demand is strengthening; the tokenized scale of real-world assets (RWA) reached $345 billion, up 110% year over year. In addition, platforms like Hyperliquid are helping boost activity in on-chain stock and commodities trading. The report also cautioned that quantum computing poses a long-term potential risk to crypto security, but it is controllable in the short term, giving the industry enough time to transition to anti-quantum standards.
