ME News, July 27 (UTC+8): Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI will release the model weights for its high-performance model Kimi K3. Developers can download the model to modify it for their intended use, or run it in their own data centers or cloud environments. Kimi K3 has 2.8 trillion parameters and a context window of around 1 million tokens, allowing it to handle large document sets and codebases in one go. After the release of Kimi K3, Moonshot AI plans to further disclose the model architecture, training methods, and performance evaluation results through technical reports. After Kimi K3’s launch, Moonshot AI’s reported daily revenue reportedly increased by at least 6 times. Moonshot AI is pushing forward with a new round of funding at a valuation of $50 billion and is considering listing in Hong Kong as early as this year. Bloomberg Intelligence said that after the release of Kimi K3 and Z.AI’s GLM-5.2, the share of China open-source weighted models in overall token usage rose to 68%. AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Azure Foundry, and Google Vertex AI have not yet provided China open-source weighted models such as Kimi K3 and GLM-5.2. (Source: ODAILY)
