PANews July 27, according to Korean media outlet NATE, the South Korean KB Financial Group will establish a “KB Gukmin Growth Unicorn Scale-up Fund” with a size of 150 billion Korean won (about $102 million), focusing on unicorn companies in industries such as AI, semiconductors, and robotics. The fund will be entirely funded by subsidiaries under KB Financial and managed by KB Securities’ PE growth investment department. Meanwhile, KB Financial also plans to increase financial support for physical AI, AI data centers, power infrastructure, and semiconductor companies.
