The ETH ecosystem has fully rebounded, and the next phase will focus on DeFi leaders!
Please keep watching the DEFI sector in the coming period. Overall, the recent crypto market行情 has actually been quite good. BTC fell to around 6.35 on Friday, and then gained momentum over the weekend.
You should know that under normal circumstances, when the US stock market is closed, the crypto sector won’t rise or fall in advance. But lately, on every weekend, BTC and ETH start to move up a bit. My feeling is that they’re acting as if they already know Monday will be up. And whoever dares to “run early” on the weekend is smart money.
Right now, ETH has already run up to 2000, and BTC should also return to the 6.6w level. Even if the market can’t keep surging straight up, it will likely move into sideways consolidation and then choose a direction. So for the short term, it’s not recommended to look bearish.
Of course, the market’s sentiment hasn’t fully reversed yet. We can only say it’s a rebound from the bottom. Because currently, the overall crypto sector’s trading volume has shrunk. In the past 24 hours, BTC’s trading volume is only $1.8 billion (spot), and ETH is only $1.3 billion.
As for derivatives (futures), it’s only a bit over $30 billion. This data can’t be called bad—it’s extremely bad. In a bull market, the derivatives trading volume should be at least $200 billion. A little over $30 billion is almost the lowest point since 2026. Even during the previous bear market, the derivatives data had about $50 billion in trading volume.
Of course, I think exchanges have listed a lot of US stocks and diverted a lot of liquidity. But this is also what I’m worried about. Almost all exchanges have listed US stocks, and US stocks are indeed pulling liquidity out of crypto.
If crypto continues into a bull run later, but many projects can’t rise in this bull market, then the probability they die later is very high. After all, no matter how well you benchmark, you can’t outmatch US stocks. As a retail investor, I can recognize this. I believe many project teams should also be able to recognize the current “crisis.” It’s already at the moment of survival or death!
The animal zoo gained a wave over the weekend. For example, DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, and a series of old-school, large-cap altcoins all rose, which indicates that capital is rotating. As mentioned before, a wave of altcoin season was likely to return—and it indeed came.
Then recently, BTC and the second coin—what’s performed strongest is the second coin. No matter whether it’s in an up move or a down move, it has performed better than BTC. On the upside, it has already broken through another short-term new high. On the downside, it has clearly fallen less than BTC.
So the recommendation is to pay more attention to the ETH ecosystem. As ETH rises, many good assets within the ETH ecosystem will also be brought along. Especially worth focusing on is the DEFI series. As mentioned earlier, the DEFI series has fundamentals—revenue, growth, and buybacks. These are the ones discussed in the 2026 research investment sessions. There aren’t many good projects—just a few. If you don’t believe it, go open the gainers ranking and see whether most of them are rising in the ETH ecosystem.
For example, AAVE is currently around 102, and it’s back above the 100 mark. The earlier price suppression from the hacked incident didn’t affect the fundamentals, and the stolen amount wasn’t that big.
LDO for the staking protocol has risen 60% over the last 30 days. ETHFI—the Ethereum restaking protocol—has risen 30% over the last 30 days.
UNI is up 30% over the last 30 days. Recently it’s been continuously releasing positive catalysts. Although the rise is slow, it’s steady.
Pendle yield platform also rose pretty well recently, and TVL has been steadily increasing.
These projects were all covered in the 2026 research investment sessions. Everyone can focus on revisiting them. If ETH later pulls back, these are also the projects you can consider. Do staged DCA entries, and by the time of the bull market, you can likely make money.
Of course, all investments involve risks. Position management is still more important than timing. Those who can truly survive through bull and bear cycles are often not chasing pumps and cutting dumps, but choosing quality assets and waiting patiently for value to be realized.
