Alibaba may launch an AI Agent product called “Xiangzao” and roll out a standalone app.

PANews July 27 reported, according to the @Dujia WeChat account, that Alibaba 1688 is advancing an AI Agent product for C-end users that customizes goods: “Xiangzao.” At its current stage, the project is embedded in the main 1688 platform. Users can complete end-to-end operations through their AI, including independently designing and creating custom products, previewing finished goods, obtaining quotations, and placing one-click orders. After an order is generated, the system uses AI to intelligently transform and automatically distribute the core elements needed for production—such as factory raw materials, processes, and die patterns—into the production lines for加工生产 (processing and production), eliminating the need for factories to handle it again. While significantly improving production efficiency, it also effectively reduces production costs. In addition, Xiangzao may later launch a standalone app.
