The biggest opportunities in crypto often appear where two fast-growing industries begin to overlap. Over the past few years, blockchain has transformed how people trade digital assets, while esports has evolved into one of the world's largest entertainment industries. Today, these two ecosystems are becoming increasingly connected through prediction markets, where users can participate in major tournament outcomes using blockchain technology instead of relying on traditional platforms.
This summer, with global tournaments like the Esports World Cup (EWC), LPL, and LCK attracting millions of viewers, Gate has launched its Esports Trading Season campaign. Rather than simply rewarding trading volume, the campaign is designed to encourage participation in the rapidly growing esports prediction market while offering weekly incentives and a substantial prize pool for active users.
The campaign will run from July 20, 2026, at 16:00 to August 10, 2026, at 16:00 (UTC+8), giving participants multiple weeks to complete weekly challenges, improve their leaderboard ranking, and explore Gate Polymarket's esports prediction markets.
One of the campaign's strongest features is its focus on welcoming new users. Entering prediction markets for the first time can feel unfamiliar, so Gate has introduced a beginner incentive to reduce that barrier. Users who complete their first esports prediction trade worth at least 100 USDT will receive a 5 USDT Gate Polymarket experience voucher. Since this reward is limited to the first 500 qualified participants, early registration could make a significant difference.
The campaign doesn't stop after the first trade. Instead of rewarding users only once, Gate allows participants to continue earning through weekly trading missions. Because these tasks reset every week, consistent activity can generate multiple rewards throughout the campaign.
The weekly trading objectives are straightforward:
• 5,000 USDT weekly prediction volume rewards a 5 USDT experience voucher.
• 20,000 USDT weekly prediction volume unlocks a 10 USDT voucher.
• 50,000 USDT weekly prediction volume earns a 20 USDT voucher.
• 200,000 USDT weekly prediction volume qualifies for a 100 USDT voucher.
• 500,000 USDT weekly prediction volume unlocks the highest weekly reward of a 200 USDT experience voucher.
Unlike one-time promotional events, this structure rewards consistency rather than a single burst of activity. Traders who remain active each week have multiple opportunities to collect rewards while following different esports tournaments throughout the campaign period.
For highly active prediction traders, the centerpiece of the event is the 50,000 USDT leaderboard prize pool.
The top-ranked participant will receive 10,000 USDT, provided they achieve at least 10 million USDT in cumulative prediction trading volume.
Second place earns 6,000 USDT after reaching 6 million USDT in cumulative trading volume.
Third place receives 4,000 USDT with a minimum trading volume of 4 million USDT.
Participants ranked 4th through 10th will equally divide 10,000 USDT, provided each reaches at least 1 million USDT in trading volume.
Those ranked 11th through 30th will equally share another 10,000 USDT, requiring a minimum cumulative trading volume of 100,000 USDT.
Finally, participants ranked 31st through 100th will share the remaining 10,000 USDT, with rewards distributed proportionally based on their eligible trading volume.
What makes this campaign particularly interesting is that it reflects a broader shift occurring within Web3. Prediction markets are no longer limited to politics, elections, or macroeconomic events. They are rapidly expanding into entertainment, sports, artificial intelligence, and now competitive gaming. Esports has become an ideal environment for prediction markets because every tournament, match, and championship creates measurable outcomes that can be settled transparently.
The continued growth of international esports competitions also supports this trend. Events such as the Esports World Cup continue attracting global audiences, while regional leagues including the LPL and LCK remain among the most watched professional gaming competitions worldwide. As audience participation grows, prediction markets provide an additional way for users to engage beyond simply watching the matches.
For newcomers, the campaign provides an opportunity to learn how decentralized prediction markets function while receiving incentives for participation. Instead of immediately focusing on leaderboard competition, beginners can first understand how different markets operate, observe tournament developments, and gradually build confidence before increasing trading activity.
Experienced users may approach the campaign differently. Weekly missions allow them to optimize participation over several weeks instead of concentrating all trading into a single period. Monitoring tournament schedules, team performance, roster changes, and current form may become valuable when evaluating different prediction markets.
Participation is straightforward. Users must first register through the official campaign page on Gate and complete identity verification. After registration, they can access the Gate Polymarket esports section, select available esports prediction markets, and begin trading. Only eligible prediction trades completed after successful registration will count toward weekly missions and leaderboard rankings.
Participants should also remember several important rules. Registration through the activity page is mandatory. Identity verification is required before rewards can be claimed. Only trades completed after successful registration are considered valid. Sub-accounts are not eligible to participate. After the campaign concludes, leaderboard rewards will be distributed within 14 working days following market settlement and the completion of the platform's review process.
As with every prediction market, opportunity should always be balanced with discipline. High prize pools naturally encourage greater participation, but successful traders generally rely on research, capital management, and consistency rather than chasing volume alone. Understanding tournament schedules, following team news, and managing risk remain just as important as completing trading milestones.
Gate's Esports Trading Season highlights how blockchain innovation continues expanding into new digital industries. By combining major international esports tournaments with prediction markets, weekly reward missions, newcomer incentives, and a 50,000 USDT leaderboard, the campaign offers participants multiple ways to engage throughout one of the busiest esports seasons of the year. As Web3 and competitive gaming continue moving closer together, campaigns like this may represent the next stage in how digital communities interact with both entertainment and blockchain-powered financial products.
