BitMart Global CEO issues a clarification statement on the shutdown incident: not aware in advance, and has already been terminated from his position
PANews, July 26: BitMart global CEO Nenter Chow issued a clarification statement regarding BitMart’s announcement of the orderly cessation of operations. He said he had no prior knowledge of the shutdown event, learned about it only after seeing the announcement, and did not participate in the decision. Nenter Chow stated that on July 24, he was informed that his position as global CEO would be terminated and the resignation process began immediately. As of now, he has not yet received confirmation of the final resignation date. Since July 24, he has not been involved in the company’s management or decision-making, nor has he been consulted on any operational matters. He said that, at present, his top priority is BitMart users and employees. Users should rely only on BitMart’s official channels to handle matters related to their accounts, and should immediately read the official notices and take action according to their guidance. Finally, he said he will not make any further comments on this matter.
Earlier, BitMart exchange announced that it would gradually stop operations. Subsequently, MSX founder said he intends to acquire the BitMart exchange and plans to cancel spot and derivatives trading fees.
