PANews July 26 report, citing MacRumors: three iOS users filed a lawsuit against Apple in a federal court in California, USA. They claim that after downloading counterfeit Sparrow Wallet apps from the App Store between May and August 2025, the three of them together lost approximately $1.8 million worth of Bitcoin. The lawsuit states that even after victims reported the fraud, Apple often takes little or no action, and other fake Sparrow apps remain on the App Store. Craig Raw, the developer of Sparrow Wallet, publicly criticized Apple’s slow response to the appearance of multiple counterfeit versions of his app on the App Store, saying that fake apps were not promptly taken down and that other counterfeit versions still exist.
