Wu Says he learned that Ethereum liquid staking protocol Lido stated that its accounting oracle missed a validator deposit of 32 ETH that was in the process of being transferred in, causing that day’s stETH Rebase annualized yield to be underreported from the expected 2.15% to 2.04%. stETH is the liquid staking token users receive after staking ETH via Lido. Lido said the incident does not involve slashing or loss of funds; the next Rebase will add back the previously undercounted balance, and users do not need to take any action.
