Solana Foundation: Anza and Firedancer have independently completed the quantum-resistant signature scheme; Falcon has achieved initial implementation

Abstract generation in progress
ME News message, April 27 (UTC+8), the Solana Foundation published a post introducing its progress in preparing for quantum resistance. After independent research, Solana’s two major validator client development teams, Anza and Firedancer, reached the same conclusion: both have selected the post-quantum digital signature scheme Falcon as the migration path, and have already completed initial implementations respectively, with the code published on their respective GitHub repositories. In addition, Blueshift’s Solana Winternitz Vault has been deployed for more than two years and is one of the few anti-quantum primitives among major blockchains that has already been put into real use. Earlier this year, it was cited in Google Quantum AI’s white paper. The Solana Foundation said that quantum computing remains a substantive threat for still a few years, so there is no need for immediate migration. However, research, infrastructure, and ecosystem coordination are all ready; once the time is right, it can be quickly launched, and is expected to have no significant impact on network performance.
