Ethereum core analysis dimensions on the 25th
1. Technicals: Bearish signals dominate
MACD: The 4-hour MACD dead cross continues, with the histogram still expanding below the zero axis; the daily-level MACD has entered an "absolute calm period," the momentum engine has completely stalled. Historically, this pattern usually first sees a downward adjustment before a possible rebound. · RSI: 1-hour RSI is around 39, and the 4-hour RSI at about 38 has entered the edge of the oversold zone, but there is no sign of bullish volume to take over—oversold does not mean the bottom is in. Weak oversold without buy-side follow-through is prone to continued sideways-to-down drift. · Bollinger Bands: The lower band near 1,845 has already been pierced, and price is located around the 57% mid-area of the band width, with room both above and below. · Moving average system: The 200-day moving average is at $2,147. The current price is still about 15% away from it. ETH remains in a recovery mode rather than confirming a bull market.
2. Funds and positioning: The bears are building positions
Open interest (OI): Over the past 24 hours, OI rose 2% to $4.4 billion, while price fell 1.75% over the same period—price rising while OI falls is bear short-covering; price falling while OI rises is a typical bear positioning signal. · Long/short ratio: Retail traders are 70.6% long, and top traders are 67.1% long—retail and institutions are highly aligned in being bullish, which often signals a reversal. The direction with the least resistance right now is downward, triggering a chain of stop-losses. · Taker buy/sell ratio: 0.84, with fewer aggressive buy orders than aggressive sell orders—sellers dominate the market. · ETF flows: On July 25, Ethereum ETFs had net outflows of $70.62 million, ending five consecutive days of inflows.
3. Macro and news: Bearish pressure
Trump plans to impose 10%-12.5% tariffs on 60 trade partners; inflation expectations are heating up. The market worries that U.S. rate cuts may be delayed, putting overall pressure on risk assets. · U.S. stock tech giants face a sell-off, with single-day market value evaporating by $797B. · The U.S. 《CLARITY Digital Assets Act》推进 has been hindered, and regulatory uncertainty continues to suppress the market.

Three key price levels reference
Type Price Description Immediate resistance 1,866 - 1,900 Short-term long/short pivot; 1,896 is the core pressure area for early-session rejection today 1,895 - 1,910 Core zone for shorting within the day Key support 1,850 - 1,853 If it breaks down on increased volume, it can be used to pursue shorts as an interim support 1,810 - 1,834 Analysts think that within 48-72 hours it may test this zone as a trend defense bottom line 1,760 - 1,770 If broken, the medium-term trend worsens further

4. Trading strategy reference
⚠️ The following is a compilation of market analysts’ views and does not constitute investment advice. Please judge risks yourself.
Bear-side idea (current mainstream view):
Short on the bounce: Look to short on bounces in the 1,870-1,880 zone; stop loss around 1,900; targets 1,856-1,844; or short from the top in the 1,895-1,910 zone · Break-and-short: If it breaks 1,853 on increased volume, short on the breakdown; watch the 4-hour breakdown for 1,825-1,800 · From a risk/reward perspective, shorting now is relatively reasonable
Bull-side idea (only for light positioning games near key supports):
If the pullback stabilizes around 1,803, go lightly long with a stop loss at 1,777 · Pull back into the 1,850-1,860 zone for a low-long with a stop loss at 1,835

5. Risk warning
4. Very low weekend liquidity: July 25 is Saturday. Both U.S. stocks and ETF funds are closed, liquidity shrinks significantly, and price is very likely to see wick-poke tests and repeated stop-loss sweeps
5. Strictly execute risk controls: Suggested total position risk should not exceed 5% of principal; limit loss on any single trade to within 1%; never open a position without a stop-loss
6. Reduce leverage: In the ranging range, use at most 3-5x leverage; avoid leverage above 10x
7. Do not hold positions overnight: During the weekend liquidity vacuum, it’s advised to close all positions before 22:00 #Gate事件合约首发狂欢 #以太坊
