#夏日创作营 In the near term, Ethereum (ETH) price action is under pressure and tends to be weak, oscillating around $1,850-$1,900, but there are clear disagreements between bulls and bears, and the medium-term direction remains unclear.
📉 Why is it under pressure in the short term?
Mainly driven by the macro environment and its own technical resistance:
· Macro headwinds: The Middle East situation pushes up oil prices, reigniting inflation worries and concerns about the Federal Reserve’s rate hikes, weighing on risk assets including crypto.
· Key resistance: ETH has repeatedly been blocked at $1,940-$1,955 and has consistently failed to break above the $2,000 psychological level.
· Short-term bearish signals: The moving average system shows a bearish arrangement, and technical indicators such as MACD also point to weak short-term momentum.
⚖️ Key battleground for bulls vs bears: the $1,850 standoff
ETH is currently at a crossroads of direction:
· Bearish signal (falling wedge): The 4-hour chart forms a falling wedge. If it breaks down through the $1,830-$1,850 support zone, it could accelerate a drop toward the $1,600-$1,750 range.
· Bullish signal (double-bottom pattern): The daily chart shows a potential early double-bottom formation. If it can hold the $1,837 neckline, the theoretical rebound target could reach $2,186.
📊 Contradictory signals across different timeframes
· Short term (technical): Bearish. Near oversold but not yet stabilized; pressure may ease only if it gains volume and holds above $1,900.
· Medium term (fund flows): Supported. In July, Ethereum spot ETFs saw consecutive net inflows (e.g., a $26.32 million inflow on July 23), and institutional capital has helped offset some selling pressure.
💡 Key levels to watch
· Downside support: $1,850-$1,870 (first line of defense). If this breaks, watch for $1,750 and even $1,700.
· Upside resistance: $1,890-$1,900 (the short-term breakout window), with stronger resistance at $1,940-$2,000.
Overall, in the short term the focus should be whether $1,850 can hold. If it stabilizes and breaks above $1,900, a rebound is possible; if it breaks down, it may trigger a new round of pullbacks. In the current high-volatility environment, managing position size and observing patiently is safer than entering impulsively.
