#夏日创作营 Tensions between Iran and the U.S. are escalating, already affecting Asia’s refinery plans to increase production in August.
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted, and some tankers have begun rerouting. As a result, Asian refineries face delays in crude deliveries, while refineries in Europe and the U.S. are operating at nearly full capacity. Global fuel supply is tightening.
When tankers start to reroute, refineries begin to worry that crude may not arrive, and the production increase plans start to be delayed, this shows that geopolitical risk has moved from the emotional level into the real supply chain.
If shipping through the Strait of Hormuz cannot be restored for a long time, oil prices, inflation expectations, and global risk assets may continue to be affected.
