We often hear a saying: animals have the ability to foresee death. In the final moments of life, they become unusually quiet, showing fear and unease, as if they are sensing some kind of end in advance. Many people believe they know they are about to die. But what animals truly show may not be foreknowledge of death—it may be heightened awareness of danger. They can detect abnormalities early through smell, sounds, changes in the environment, and the condition of the group. This is not a mysterious power, but a sensory system formed through long evolution. And what this ultimately points to is not animals, but humans themselves. Humans have stronger reasoning, yet they may gradually lose the ability to sense themselves. Many times, our bodies, emotions, and intuition have already warned us of certain changes—only we are accustomed to dismiss them with logic.
