ME News, July 24 (UTC+8): Farmers in Brazil’s Paraná state carried out RWA tokenized financing by listing 10 dairy cows on the B3 stock exchange, securing nearly $20k in a credit facility to cope with tightened lending from local banks to small agricultural enterprises. The project is led by Brazilian agri-tech company Cowmed. Each cow is equipped with an AI-driven Smarty Collar smart collar that monitors health, behavior, and location in real time; it encrypts the raw data to generate a corresponding digital identity and writes it into the credit agreement with B3. Continuous tracking helps prevent the same cow from being pledged multiple times and allows replacement with other surviving cows if a cow dies. Cowmed is currently monitoring about 100k cows, with total assets worth more than $395 million. It is expected that up to 20% of the network will adopt this financing model, potentially unlocking about $77.6 million in agricultural credit. (Source: PANews)
