ME News, April 27 (UTC+8). CaiTuo Macro analyst Jonas Gerdtman said that if the US-Iran standoff persists and the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed, market optimism about an imminent resolution of the Iran war may quickly fade. The analyst said: "Negotiations to end the US-Iran war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz appear to be stuck in yet another deadlock again, causing global financial markets to take a cautious stance at the start of the new week. Time is not on the side of the optimists: with each passing day, disruptions to the energy market will intensify, resulting in greater downstream damage to economies around the world."
