Abstract generation in progress
PANews, July 24—According to CoinDesk, farmers in Brazil’s Paraná state carried out RWA tokenized financing by listing 10 dairy cows on the B3 securities exchange, securing nearly $20k in credit capacity to cope with local banks tightening loans to small agricultural enterprises. The project is led by Brazil’s agri-tech company Cowmed. Each cow is equipped with an AI-driven Smarty Collar smart collar that continuously monitors health, behavior, and location; it encrypts raw data to generate corresponding digital identities and writes them into B3’s credit agreements. Ongoing tracking helps prevent the same cow from being pledged more than once, and it also allows replacement with other surviving cows if a cow dies. Cowmed is currently monitoring about 100k cows, with total asset value of more than $395 million. It is expected that up to 20% of the network will adopt this financing model, potentially freeing about $77.6 million in agricultural credit.
