A giant whale’s $30 million tech-stock plan: AMD will close the short and go long, while Micron and SanDisk are waiting for a rebound to lay out shorts
ME News, July 24 (UTC+8). According to Hyperinsight monitoring, as of the time of publication, the largest single order placed on Hyperliquid for related technology stocks is held by a single day-trading swing whale (0x4e2), with 209 orders in total, amounting to approximately $30.68M. The strategy plan covering “AMD flips long from a low level, storage rebound adds shorts” has been put on the order book:
AMD stop-loss closes shorts: it currently holds an AMD short position of about $6.05M, with an unrealized loss of about $74k; it has placed $4.01M in reducing-short buy orders at $542.4 to $544.6, planning to cut about two-thirds of the short position first.
AMD reverses to go long: it has also placed $4.01M in buy orders at $531 to $541. If price moves down, it will close the short at around $540.48 and start reversing to long; thereafter, any further fills will convert to a long position. If fully filled, the estimated final long exposure is about $16.44M, with an expected average price of about $537.7.
MU rebound adds shorts: it has placed $8.19M in sell orders at $1,012 to $1,080. If fully filled, the MU short position, based on the current mark price, is estimated to expand to about $7.76M, with a combined average price of about $1,038.3.
SNDK rebound adds shorts: it has placed $2.04M in sell orders at $1,675 to $1,849. If fully filled, the SNDK short position, based on the current mark price, is estimated to expand to about $2.04M, with a combined average price of about $1,700.7.
No stop-loss orders that could be triggered are currently seen, and MU and SNDK also have no take-profit buy orders. The overall path is: AMD drops to breakeven to close the short, then flips to long; if the storage sector rebounds, it continues adding shorts.
